Who operates Almanac
Almanac is the trading name of Garry James, a sole trader and the controller of enquiry information. Address: FOUNDRY Wandsworth, 4 New Acres Lane, London, SW18 1HT, United Kingdom. Contact garry@almanac.travel.
Information you provide
The Marketing Review enquiry asks for your business name, website, name and email. We use these details to assess suitability, respond to your request and manage any resulting business relationship.
The destination and general enquiry form asks for your name, email and message, with optional organisation, location and approximate operator count. We use this information to respond to the enquiry. Please do not include sensitive personal information in your message.
How enquiries are handled
Form submissions are processed through Formspree, which stores submissions and sends email notifications to garry@almanac.travel. Correspondence is held separately in the Almanac mailbox, using Apple iCloud Custom Email Domain. See Formspree’s privacy information and Apple’s privacy information.
Retention
Enquiries and subsequent correspondence are retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to the enquiry and manage any resulting business relationship, and are deleted when no longer required, subject to applicable legal, accounting or record-keeping requirements.
This describes Almanac-controlled records. Provider-held submission histories, technical logs and backups are subject to the applicable provider arrangements.
Website and public research
The public website presents Almanac’s services and independent demonstrations. Marketing Review research examines relevant publicly available information about a business and its traveller-facing journey.
Hosting and security services may process technical information separately from information entered in the forms. No session recording or additional analytics service is added by this website.
Optional advertising measurement
With your consent, Almanac uses Meta Pixel (ID 1456685473006547) to measure website visits and successful Marketing Review enquiries associated with Facebook and Instagram advertising. The Pixel loads only after you accept advertising tracking. Rejecting it does not affect access to the website or the enquiry forms.
After acceptance, Meta receives page-view and successful operator-enquiry events, page URLs and technical information such as IP address, browser and device information, and cookie identifiers. Meta may link this activity to your Facebook or Instagram account and use it for advertising measurement and personalisation under its own policies. We do not send your name, email, business details or enquiry text as Pixel event parameters, and automatic event configuration and advanced matching are not enabled by this implementation. Destination and general enquiries are not counted as operator leads.
Meta may set advertising cookies such as _fbp and _fbc. Information may be processed by Meta outside your country. Meta controls its own retention and processing: see the Meta Privacy Policy and Meta Cookies Policy.
Your advertising choices
Advertising tracking is off until you accept it. Accept advertising and Reject advertising are equally available in the consent notice. Use Privacy choices in the footer of any page to change your choice or withdraw consent. Withdrawal stops subsequent tracking and removes Meta advertising cookies accessible to this website; it does not undo information already sent to Meta. To manage information held by Meta, use its privacy controls.
We remember and apply your advertising choice for 180 days. After that, we ask again and remove the expired preference when you next visit. You can clear it sooner through your browser settings. Choices apply to this browser and website, so you may need to set them again on another device.
Campaign information with operator enquiries
When present, the campaign labels utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign and utm_content are included with your Marketing Review enquiry so Almanac can understand which campaign prompted the request. We preserve these labels in links between website pages. If you accept advertising tracking, we also retain the labels in session storage for that browser tab; rejecting or withdrawing clears that session storage. Labels still present in the page URL can accompany an enquiry you choose to send. We do not add campaign labels to the destination/general enquiry form.
Campaign labels submitted with an operator enquiry are processed through Formspree with the other enquiry information and follow the enquiry retention described above. They are not sent to Meta as custom event parameters
